Circuit Rider Bible Study

I sure enjoy reading through the old book, Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. It's a classic Christian allegory full of rich imagery that describes many aspects of our journey as followers of Christ. One of the characters in the book, "Worldly Wiseman" goes out to meet the main character, Christian, in order to give him counsel. In your life as a believer, who do you look to for counsel and advice? Circuit Rider began as God sending me through the Southeastern United States on a circuit of home Bible studies and missions. Most people I connected with across the board, had been hurt by churches.  One thing I can say eight years later, is that in their journeys they have begun getting reconnected with communities of faith, church, and have moved on with their lives. The scripture says, "he who separates himself seeks his own." So often what keeps us from a community of faith is past wounds and pains but as you walk with God you will walk through the Valley of Religion.
