This week on the InSession Film Podcast, the awesome guys from the JT Movie Podcast drops by to help us review the latest Hollywood remake, RoboCop, starring Joel Kinneman, Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson. Going off of that, we discuss our Top 3 Supporting Characters in a Sci-Fi Movie as well as dive into some of the latest movie news, which included some real headscratchers. And per usual, we finish off the show discussing the latest films we've seen over the last week.   We had a ton of fun on this show and Ben and Matthew were fantastic guests. Thanks for listening!

This week on the InSession Film Podcast, we review George Clooney's latest film, The Monuments Men starring Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Cate Blanchett and several others as well. Going off that, we discuss our Top 3 Actor Turned Director Movies, which is one of the hardest Top 3's we've ever done. If you love the world of legos and you like animated films, you're going to have a blast with this movie. The Lego Movie stars Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Will Arnett, Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Neeson and a whole slew of others as well.    Also, we as for grace in advance because Paulie Popcorn does not sound like a 1980's robot in real life. We had some technical issues on our end, so we apologize for that.   All in all, everything is AWESOME!!!

Going off of that, we discuss our Top 3 Conspiracy/Spy Movies which was a lot of fun, or was it? We then move on and have a great discussion as we talk about the movies we are most anticipating in 2014, which was hard to narrow down but we skimmed the surface of what this year could be. And as usual, we finish off the show with movies we got to see over the last week. 

This week on the InSession Film Podcast, the awesome Matt Oakes from Silver Screen Riot drops by as we review Labor Day starring Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet, a film we'd all soon like to forget. We also discuss our Top 3 January Movies of Recent Memory as well as discuss some of the latest movie news. We discuss the interesting casting of Jeremy Irons and Jessie Eisenberg in the new Superman vs Batman movie and the very, very sad news of the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman. He was an incredible actor that will be very missed.

This week we have a very special InSession Film Podcast: Extra Film segment, as Matt Oakes from Silver Screen Riot joins us to discuss what he saw at this year's Sundance Film Festival and what we can expect from the films that he saw there. He brings a very special insight into some great films at Sundance and some performances that we'll want to look forward to in 2014. Matt is a great writer who has reviews you'll want to check out and it was a pleasure having him on the show.

This week on the InSession Film Podcast, it's all about the 2014 Oscars. Ryan from the CinemaJaw Podcast drops by to help us break down all the nominations that The Academy recently handed out, which included one for Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. Can you believe that? We discuss which nominations were great, which one's make you scratch your head and we give some preliminary predictions on a first though basis.  Due to time constraints, we moved our Films We've Seen This Week segment to the post-credits of the show. This week on the InSession Film Podcast: Extra Film segment, we have our very first special guest (outside our wonderful funder Brandi Woodrum) as Rythemovieguy from the CinemaJaw Podcast drops by to help defend August: Osage County and explain why it's a great film. There's no doubt the movie is filled with outstanding performances, but does the narrative seem to work and fit with all the outsanding actors? That's the debate that JD and Ryan have on this special Extra Film review. 

This week on the InSession Film Podcast, Brent Allen helps co-host with JD as Dan from MWire Weekly joins us to review the latest war epic, Lone Survivor starring Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster. Going off of that, we discuss our Top 3 U.S. War Movie Scenes, which took a lot of homework but it was a great conversation. We recorded this epidose just hours before the 2014 Golden Globes, so we gave our predictions, which may or may not have been accurate. And as usual, to top off the show, we discussed the films we saw over the last week (or two). 

On this week's InSession Film Podcast: Extra Film segment, we review the Coen Brother's latest character piece, Inside Llewyn Davis as well as dive into the incredible world brought to us by Spike Jonze as we review Her. This was a really fun episode as both films have been on a lot of Top 10 lists for 2013 and Her was even JD's #1 for the year. If you get the chance, both films are definitely worth a watch but for different reasons and we break it all down. 

Fair Warning: This podcast is a little lengtheir than our normal shows, but this being a special podcast and we had a ton of fun discussing the best and worst of 2013. But just as an FYI. On this week's InSession Film Podcast, it's a very different show as we discuss the best and worst of movies in 2013 in our InSession Film Awards. Some of our awards are the familiar one's but a few of them are a little different and unique. We also have some individual awards that we gave away that was really fun. And to top off the show, we give our Top 10 Movies of 2013, which is one of the best segments we've ever done on our podcast. This was an amazing show as we covered a wide spectrum of film in 2013. This week on the InSession Fim Podcast, we gave all of our guests the week off as Scott and JD review Martin Scorsese's latest, The Wolf of Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and many others. We also review Ben Stiller's latest project, The Secret Life of Walter Witty as well as discuss our Top 3 Movie Discoveries of 2013. There were many new actors, actresses and directors that we found over the last year, which is just one reason why 2013 was great for film. And we finish off the show this week by talking about the TONS of films we saw over the last (short) week.  Happy New Years Everybody!

We also see what Ron Burgandy has been up to lately as we discuss Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues as well as discuss our Top 3 movie surprises of 2013. Due to time we cut out the latest movie news and discussed films we've seen over the last week, which was a lot of fun. We went a little long on this week's show, so you'll have to forgive us and feel free to skip around if need be. However, we had a really great time and Max and Michael were absolutely great.

On this week's InSession Film Podcast: Extra Film segment, we review on one our most highly-anticipated films of the year in Blue is the Warmest Color, starring the adorable Adele Exarchopoulos and Lea Seydoux. While controversey surrounds the film regarding some of it's graphic content, there's no questioning the performances in the movie. Scott and JD break down, not only why the film works, but why it's one of the best films of the year. 

This week on the InSession Film Podcast, the amazing smart and hilarious guys from the MGCTv Podcast join us as we review The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the second film in the Hobbit (why do we need three?) trilogy. Going off that, we do one of our funnest Top 3's yet and discuss our Top 3 Movie Worlds that we would want to visit as well as discuss the latest nominations at the Golden Globes. And we top off the show with the films we've seen over the last week. Due to time contraints, we cut out our movie news segment, as well as some of our conversation of the Golden Globes, and we pasted it in the post-credits of the show. 

On this week's InSession Film Podcast: Extra Film segment, we review two amazing indie films in Dallas Buyers Club, starring Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto as well as Philomena, starring Judi Dench and Steve Coogan. These are two films that you want to see and we had a blast discussing them.

This week on the InSession Film Podcast, Drew Koenig from MovieBuffHaven.com drops by as we review Out of the Furnace starring Christian Bale, Woody Harrelson, and Casey Affleck. Going of that, we discuss our Top 3 Family Revenge Movies and give a preview for the month of December, which looks really great.
