To celebrate the upcoming 49th anniversary of Earth Day, Mike and Amera are diving into how Christianity has informed the way we view the planet. They take a look at how some of those views may be changing, through the lens of Ecotheology. We have one planet and there are multiple movements working to save it. This is the story of one. 

Award-winning journalist Nicki Mayo joins us this week as close out Women’s History Month with a discussion of one of the most prolific investigative journalists ever, Ms. Ida B. Wells-Barnett. Wells-Barnett was solely responsible for bringing attention to the injustices committed against black Americans through her Anti-Lynching campaign. Join us as we take a look at this hero of American history. 

Reading the bible literally seems to create more problems than it solves. Why is the bible read literally? When did it start? Is this required? Mike and Amera walk through the history, reasons, and impact of biblical literalism. We may have more options than we think. 

If God is so powerful and good, why does evil exist? Mike and Amera tackle this age old question. What does our answers about this say about God? This discussion looks at how other religions answer the question and explores the idea of a relational God. Do not miss this one!

Black women are tired! For good reason. To start the new year, we’re taking a walk through what contributes to this fatigue.
