RED-C Roundup's goal is to foster an even greater sense of unity among the parishes in our listening areas by providing information on all the amazing ways the Holy Spirit is working here. 115 Darren Sinkule: A Miraculous Heart

Darren grew up just outside of West, Texas and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in West. Darren talks about how he learned the importance of prayer from his grandmother, as they would pray a Rosary every day after school. He served ever since he was a young child at mass every day, and was even told by a priest that he might be called to become a priest. When he grew up, Darren says he became very sinful, full of pride and anger. His wife, Stephanie had been praying for something to humble her husband. Suddenly, he was diagnosed with a heart condition. In 2011, he was asked to attend an ACTS retreat, where he was deeply humbled. He said “my life changed.” After Darren got back from the retreat, he told God that he would surrender to him. He was getting weaker as the years went on, and on April 16, 2013, he had congestive heart failur
