And now enter Trashcan Man. For every setback, things seem to be looking up for Flagg in New Vegas. Sure two of Boulder’s spies died before he could question them. He’s got a new ally in Donald Merwin Elbert aka Trashcan Man who has an affinity for flames and making things go boom. Then by episode’s end, he gets the lead he needed to identify the third spy. This week, we finally get our first look at Flagg’s New Vegas. Bureaucracy is still a thing as Tom arrives and is initially assigned a work detail that could’ve landed him in a death match. Thankfully, crisis averted. He’s put up on clean-up duty instead. There’s a Flashdance shout out for Dayna as Julie arrives to check out the newbie asking questions about the Man. Naomi takes drastic measures in the latest episode, 5x07, “Oyedeng”. Holden and his Roci crew are on the Zemeya’s trail as they attempt to retrieve the protomolecule. Holden is very much distracted though and desperate to get to Naomi before she disappears completely. Alex and Bobbie touch base with the crew and the pieces come together about how and why Mars has supplied Marco with his own navy. Drummer and her crew arrive for their meeting with Marco. It’s very clear that Camina Drummer loathes the Free Navy leader, but her crew convinces her that they have no choice but to align themselves with him. The true upside to her trip aboard is that she’s clued into Naomi’s presence on board. Well, at least that Filip and Marco have her close somewhere. This week, Nadine makes Harold an offer he can’t refuse. It’s more than clear that Nadine is truly devoted to the Dark Man. Before the episode’s end, she’s killed poor Teddy Weizak and there’s a plan to take out the rest of the citizens of the Boulder Free Zone. The end is the beginning as CBS All Access kicks off its long-awaited adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, ‘The Stand’. The post-apocalyptic drama jumps back and forth through time to give the audience an idea what exactly led to the demise of 7 billion people. The series veers somewhat from the novel and the 1994 tv mini-series by dropping the audience into the middle of the action and then bouncing back and forth between past and present.  Hit play and listen in as Brad and Talk discuss the series premiere. What did you think of the first hour? They managed to fit in a lot of story. Was it disorienting jumping back and forth in the timeline of the story? The space drama hit the ground running with more political intrigue and missions that end up separating the entire Rocinante crew. Is it a case of too little, too late for Naomi being able to reach Filipe and pull him away from his dangerous father? Welcome back, Earpers!! What a treat it’s been to have these amazing characters back on our screens, but we are quickly closing in on the last new episode for this half of the season. Yes, my soul is howling right along with yours, but just know that our fave actors are already back to work filming the second half of the season. This week’s episode sees Wynonna still on the hunt for Peacemaker. Doc is thinking a lot about the past. Meanwhile, Nicole has been hijacked. The reveal of some of these family members explain much about Wynonna being framed and nearly executed for Nedley’s “death”. Rachel has truly become a member of the Earp family. What do you think of her star-crossed romance with Billy? His family sucks, but he’s got some good qualities. What was up with Jeremy distancing himself from Wynonna and making her downplay what a major badass she happens to be? Watching Wynonna terrified is the worst. I can’t wait until she figures out doesn’t need Peacemaker to be that badass. Then of course she needs to get Peacemaker back.
