Paul has been stoned, shipwrecked, whipped, beaten, imprisoned, adrift at sea, in danger from robbers, and much more. However, the most intense pain in ministry is the daily pressure of his concern for all the churches as he sees people being led into sin.  

Paul helps the Corinthians church see that there are false apostles trying to deceive them.  

Questions for personal reflection: 1) Are you personally more drawn to presentation than the content of what is being presented? 2) Is there any area where you need to further resolve to hold the course, even amidst opposition? 3) Who are you giving spiritual authority to in your life? Gospel Application: 1) If it's not ultimately Jesus, are you willing to turn from these other things to him?

God loves a cheerful giver because HE is a cheerful giver. He supplies every need both for us and others. How can we reflect that?

A gospel theology of stuff: God created stuff. God owns everything People like to hoard stuff The abundance of possessions/wealth can be a blessing... ...Or the abundance of possessions/wealth can be a curse! So what am I do do with my stuff? How then, do we handle wealth?
