Back to business with the story of the first Olympics of the modern Olympiad, which took place in Athens, Greece in 1896. The Germans dominated gymnastics! Americans dominated shooting! Launceston Elliot dominated our hearts and there were absolutely no women competing at all (but not for lack of trying)!
