What a year 2021 has been in crypto and for cryptotraders. We started the year with a raging bull on BTC and ETH, SOL, ADA and even XRP had a dig. We saw new additions to the top-10 in LUNA and we saw mainstays like BCH and LTC drop out. We have had 50% pull backs and 100%+ runs, we've been in another year of uncertainty with the pandemic and it's been hard, wow, at times it's been super hard. Bitcoin has moved, yep, it actually did something. Don't get too excited though cryptotraders as we have more to do yet. Better to focus on the trends in play Like LUNA which just keeps pushing, AVAX also looking ok. BNB, ETH, DOGE, ADA, SOL and DOT all made gains but it's TERRA and XRP leading the way right now. It appears that there is a great deal of talk around Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) from Australia to Russia, will this mean a death blow for crypto or a massive awareness campaign? Australia is also looking at regulation and NOT offering ANY tax breaks for renewable energy minging. This comes as no shock at all to this Australian. In fact, there is more likelihood of grants if we were to burn coal, that's the way our government works these days. Finally, FTX works with the Golden State Warriors on NFT's and more. While BTC is slow and grinding, AVAX and TERRA have both performed well over the past 24 hours. ETH is again below $4000 and it looks very much like if ADA can't hold the support at $1.20 that it may test $1 flat again. DOGE did what it does and pumped, I have no clue why, and BNB is unsteady as well. Cryptotraders want clarity from their market conditions, it's not there right now. The market is crab walking hard right now. It seems to be in a period of uncertainty. For cryptotraders it makes our job hard. It's hard, not because of the market but because of our heads. To be successful we must know when to go and when to hold back and I have been holding back for a long time. The market isn't too sure right now in crypto, bitcoin is slow, ETH doesn't have the greatest of anything, SOL is the same and even BNB has been off. LUNA is also having a hard time getting the motor running. The volatility has slowed right up today so far and it's been a slow grind for BTC, ADA, SOL, ETH, AVAX, BNB and pretty much everything. What a weekend we had in crypto! Bitcoin was at one point down over 20% with DOT, XRP, AVAX, DOGE BNB and the lot having a very big fall. Cryptotraders will have watched the big bounce from the lows and the stunning rise of LUNA or TERRA in other circles. Ethereum held well also. A new variant, more lockouts and uncertainty is back on the front pagers the world over. Is bitcoin hurting due to this? The answer is yes, but it has recovered a wedge of the move lower. While we have had some nice moves in the last 24 hours we have had a dip today which means we continue to wait for daily up trends. ETH, BNB, DOT are poised while LRC has had a big run and is now in a daily trend. It's been a period of working to the weekly trend. With that comes a lot of mess on the lower time frames for cryptotraders. There are a few short options available, it's a nice hedge but please reduce your risk. BTC set new daily lows in it's trend, not by much but it did.
