  • David Newell: How 10 Days In Silence Could Change Your Life Forever (Vipassana Meditation)

    22/01/2019 Duration: 56min

How would you fancy 10 days sat crossed-legged, meditating 10 hours a day, in silence? No phone, no journal, and no mates. Just you and your thoughts for company. Sounds like hell right? It’s got a fancy name – ‘Vipassana’ – but I like to call it the ’10 day suffer fest’. Vipassana means to ‘see reality as it is’ and in that regard, it definitely delivers. A ridiculously hard but insanely rewarding experience, Vipassana will show you things about yourself and the nature of reality that can take decades to figure out in the real world. In this week’s pod I talk about my comedic and mostly unbearable foray into this unique self-discovery experience. In this episode, you’ll discover: What Vipassanna is and what it involves; How 10 days feels sat in the same spot; Why all pain is in the mind + how you can transcend it; How you can uncover unhelpful thought patterns/beliefs + nuke them; What life-changing insights the experience gives you; and The god-like super powers you get from Vipassana With poisonous snake

  • Lachie Gordon: What Makes Noisily Festival Dope (Spotlight)

    18/01/2019 Duration: 30min

Festival season may be far behind us now but soon we’ll be considering our options for Summer 2019. Each year more incredible outdoor fiestas bubble up and its often the long-running micro-festivals that provide some of the most epic and transformational weekends. Leading the pack is the amazing Noisily Festival, an inclusive haven where underground music thrives and self expression flourishes. Rooted in the electronic music scenes, Noisily has more recently been expanding into a celebration of psychedelic art and culture in a society which is increasingly looking within for happiness and fulfilment, and away from material goods and money as the definition of success I caught up with one of it’s co-creators - Lachie Gordon - to talk about how they are making the festival better and better every year and why 2019 is the year you should visit. • Manex Ibar: Upgrading Your Consciousness

    15/01/2019 Duration: 01h07min

Manex Ibar is a visionary shaman and healer who specialises in Human Design as well as a number of other modalities including energetics, shamanism and genetics. In this amazing conversation, a continuation of our first last year, we spoke about the energy body as a collection of frequencies (expressed through your chakras) and how consciously modifying these frequencies can create dramatic shifts in your perception and therefore actions in life. We explore the energetics of the body, expressed through the 9 chakras that are seen using the Human Design spirit science system, and talk about how each of these colour the way the we see the world depending on how open and closed they are. There are ways we can interact with our chakras, through sound and vibration, that can dramatically alter our energy field. Manex has recently launched a unique line of essential oils – called Frequence Life – that have been specifically designed and engineered to help you open certain chakras and keep your energy field optimise

  • Elaine Mary Collins: Tarot in the 21st Century

    08/01/2019 Duration: 01h05min

Boom! Its a New Year and we are off to a fresh start with Inner Truth. Happy 2019! It's typically this time of year that we contemplate what has past and what will come for us over the next 12 months. All the life reflection, breakups, new romances, job searches, seem to come to fruition at this time. So I thought it would be fun to kick things off with someone who makes predictions for a profession. Tarot is something has fascinated me for years, in particular its connection to archetypal psychology and Carl Jung's work on the collective unconscious. Do we all contain within us archetypes and stories that play out over our lives? Joseph Campbell's famous work on the Hero's Journey (the inspiration for Star Wars) certainly indicates so. So I reached out to one of the foremost and talented Tarot card readers in the world (Elaine Mary Collins) to talk about everything to do with the system as well as make some predictions for 2019. In this episode you'll learn: What Tarot is and how it was developed; What a re

  • Ruari Fairbairns: Rebooting Life Alcohol-Free (Spotlight)

    21/12/2018 Duration: 34min

One Year No Beer and its Co-Founder Ruari Fairbairns are taking the world by storm. The 30, 90 and 365 alcohol-free challenges set by him and the OYNB platform have proved insanely successful over the last three years, with tens of thousands of completions and a 95%+ success rate at keeping people off the booze. Testimonials from participants that have completed the challenges are absolutely fire so I sat down with Ruari to talk about how they are doing it, why it’s so successful, and why going alcohol-free is only the beginning. There’s some great advice and encouragement if you’re considering going sober. I went fully sober six months ago and I probably could have benefitted from OYNB myself rather than the solo-effort I made! Inner Truth listeners can get 25% off any of the OYNB plans using the code “INNERTRUTH”.

    18/12/2018 Duration: 02h15min

Wow. What a year it's been! Incredible to think Inner Truth only launched to friends and family in January this year and now we stand at 58 episodes with tens of thousands of downloads. It's hard to believe that somehow I ended up interviewing some of my favourite artists (Nick Mulvey!), writers, and most inspiring leaders in the conscious field. Most of all its been amazing to start conversations in this area, build a wonderful audience, and connect with so many amazing souls along the journey. Its always the reflections that you have on the episodes that light me up and its incredible when people are inspired to take action from something they've listened to on the show. So to say thank you in some small way, I put together a Best Of Inner Truth 2018 highlights show. Its bumper length (2 hours) and packed with some of the best wisdom shared over the year from everyone including Shaman Durek, Jamie Catto, Ruby Warrington, Nick Mulvey + more! I hope you love it! • Trish Whelan: The Age of Aquarius + The Rise of Kundalini Yoga

    27/11/2018 Duration: 38min

Trish Whelan is one of the best and most sought after Kundalini Yoga teachers in Ibiza + most importantly, an absolutely wonderful soul! Go back 10 years and Kundalini was quite a fringe yoga modality (it still is to some extent) but it has seen an unmistakeable growth in the past decade and with good reason, it gets incredible results + quickly. In this conversation we dived right in to why Kundalini is such a great technology for this time (the Age of Aquarius), how it can support you, and the best way to get involved. • Samantha Moyo: The Conscious Business Witch

    20/11/2018 Duration: 01h09min

Samantha Moyo is a beautiful soul, a dear friend and co-creator of Inner Truth. She also knows a thing or two(!) about building conscious communities. Having founded Morning Gloryville, the sober dance event that became a global social movement, she is now heading up a pioneering new conscious community building platform, Tamuka, to help conscious brands find and amplify their voice. Building soulful brands in this day and age is a whole new field of exploration and experimentation and in this conversation we had an honest chat about dealing with old syndromes of competitiveness and conflict whilst trying to build effective and sustainable brands. We also spoke about recent awakenings, initiations, finding your tribe, and what the future looks like for community building. Sam is one of the most creative thinkers I know so prepare for some beautiful, mind-expanding perspectives on old paradigms. You can find her at www.tamuka.co and @moyo_samantha.

  • David Newell: Taking The World's Most Powerful Psychedelic

    13/11/2018 Duration: 48min

Three weeks ago on a relatively spare of the moment decision (call it divine inspiration), I smoked the venom of the Senoran Desert toad known as Bufo Alvarius. The venom contains the chemical 5-MEO-DMT, commonly considered the most powerful psychedelic in the world. Lord knows who tried it the first time (they probably had quite the shock), but when you smoke it, you experience extremely rapid ego dissolution, lose all sense of your body + mind (as you know it) and become one with the universe. It was simultaneously the most beautiful and terrifying experience of my life. In this episode – a first solocast for Inner Truth – I share the story on why I did it, what it was like, what I learnt, and why I’ll never be the same again. Buckle up for a comedy ride to the 10th dimension.

  • Andy Raingold: The Miracles Of Nature (Spotlight)

    09/11/2018 Duration: 39min

This episode we're talking all about re-wilding the body, mind and soul. That majestic feeling you get when you’ve spent the weekend at the coast or hiking in the woods? That's re-wilding.  Andy Raingold of Change In Nature, specialises in just that. Taking people out of themselves and back into nature to create transformational reconnection experiences. I’ve heard so many good things from people about what happens on his retreats and how it affects their lives. Just check out their website of testimonials. He is insanely passionate about reconnecting people with nature and themselves, and is both super knowledgeable and humble. He told me that in the UK people spend only 5% of there time outdoors. Can you believe that?  Wherever you are, see if you can go and listen to this outside if you can.

  • Isa Gucciardi Ph.D: Discover Your Shamanic Superpowers

    06/11/2018 Duration: 01h05min

What lies beyond the world we can see with our eyes? The answer is a lot more than you might think! There is a language hidden in the world of things seen, that can help us to understand what is really going on in the world around us. Shamanism is one of the ways we can see through and integrate the physical and spiritual planes of existence. It is one of the oldest wisdom traditions known to man and having fallen temporarily onto the fringe of popular culture, it is now becoming popular again amongst a generation of people keen to learn indigenous wisdom and reconnect with spirit. This week I caught up with one of my favourite teachers - Isa Gucciardi - to talk about her new course with Inner Truth which is all about how we can develop these shamanic powers for life.

  • Daniel Pinchbeck: Our Inner + Outer Worlds Coming Together

    30/10/2018 Duration: 43min

Daniel Pinchbeck is a NY Times best-selling author who’s work covers psychedelics, shamanism, and most recently climate change. We talk a lot on Inner Truth about our own wellbeing and recently I’ve been thinking a lot about how our own inner lives are symmetrical with the outer world. How we treat ourselves inside is a close mirror for how we respond to events outside and also how we treat the environment. One of the people that’s been at the forefront of this kind of thinking is the incredible author Daniel Pinchbeck who shot up around 2002-2003 with his amazing book Breaking Open The Head which documented his travels around the world to take part in psychedelic initiations with various indigenous communities. It was in these journeys that he had profoundly transcendent interconnected experiences that convinced him that what many of us are missing is initiation into the planet and an experience of no separateness to understand our deep bond to the planet. In his latest book – How Soon Is Now? – he posits th

  • Sam Lee: The Power Of Music + Story For Connection

    23/10/2018 Duration: 48min

Sam Lee is a Mercury Prize nominated folk singer, song collector, award winning promoter, broadcaster, animateur, and naturalist. He's been on my radar a while because his music and events really speak to a lot of incredible tradition that can help connect us inward and discover our own story. His music is deeply influenced by his own passion for folklore and myth and in creating it he has always been incredibly thoughtful about his choice of story and the instrumentation he pairs it with. What is particularly beautiful is his love for connecting story, music, people and place. If you look at the modern era, a lot of these old stories have been lost and the rituals and practices that would accompany them have fallen away too. But there is incredible power in these stories, if you think about it, as humans, stories are how we communicate some of the deepest truths of human behaviour and how we make sense of the world. So in this discussion we went deep into what has inspired Sam to pursue the story-rich genre

  • Rob Da Bank: Building Festivals + Finding Life Balance

    16/10/2018 Duration: 40min

This episode is all about building your dreams but doing it with patience, perseverance, and uniqueness. In the music industry for over 20 years, first as a journalist, then breaking into DJing with a regular spot on BBC Radio 1 as well as managing talent under his own record label, Rob then partnered with his wife Jocie to building out their own independent music festival which has grown over the last 15 years into the mega event that is Bestival. What I love about Rob is he is super down to earth despite being clearly incredibly talented and organised to run everything he has done successfully. I caught up with him in the days just before Bestival 2018. You might hear a few trucks and things moving as he was on the build site as we were speaking! Stay tuned to the end for some great advice about building your dreams.
