Jacques has also written, produced and starred in several independent films, short films, music videos and TV pilots that were nominated & won awards in several film festivals. He associate produced "Murder101," starring Tom Sizemore, and the dark Drama, "Meth Head," starring Lukas Haas; both screened at Cannes Film Festival Market Screenings. In its 29th year, the fest will include, as always, films from around the world, special events and plenty of celebrities.     Daniel Hoyos is an indie film producer and new director of the popular Seattle Shorts Film Festival now in it’s 4th year. After graduating with a degree in film and communications in 2009, Daniel got his first job working for the nationally syndicated TV Show “Biz Kids” on PBS, as a production assistant. The following year, he got hired at the international film festival “National Film Festival for Talented Youth” as the submissions and programming intern. Since then, he worked at the “Children’s Film Festival of Seattle” where he helped program the week long 2011 festival, at the Northwest Film Forum.  In 2012, his short film “Play for Me” won best cinematography at the 2012 Sierra Canyon Film Festival in Hollywood. That same year, Daniel produced  “No One Knows." The two lead child actors -- Sami Isler and Caleb Barwick -- went on to star in NBC's "Sean Saves the World," and Lifetime's "Army Wives."     Director Gil Green is creating Who Is Lou Gehrig? a short film featuring Miami Heat power forward Udonis Haslem. The film is inspired by Green’s friend of over 20 years, Jeff Fogel, who was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (commonly known as ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease) about three years ago. The film will follow Fogel as he escapes into his imagination to create a more positive reality for himself. Gil already has raised over his goal of $60,000 on KickstarterThough ALS has received a lot of recent press, this project is not affiliated with the viral ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.“While the Ice Bucket Challenge has brought a tremendous amount of awareness to ALS, this film is meant to do something beyond that.”, said Green. “Our goal is to provide an insight not only to the effects of the disease, but to have people be inspired by Jeff’s courageous ability to maintain a positive daily outlook, amongst life’s biggest challenges.”The film will premiere at The Borscht Film Festival this December.     Jeremy Breslau, writer and director of "1982," earned his MFA in screenwriting from USC. While there, in addition to writing and directing award-winning shorts, his screenplay, "Plague Season," was a semi-finalist in the Nicholl Competition. Based on his Nicholl script, Fox Searchlight signed Jeremy to a first-look deal and produced his next short, after which he created a successful web series for MTV’s AtomFilms.
