OK, so the name wasn't Stickshift. Clarity on that and SO much more about this Hulu movie that spent a lot of time filming here in Toledo with Charles Wetzel from Film Toledo. And what comes to my mind when I hear the actual title of the movie HERE

Jenna lost her husband last summer to a brain cancer. I met her at a recent Victory Center event where she was a featured speaker sharing her and her kid's journey. She's also started her own endeavor to ensure those enduring a cancer battle can be pointed to the most effective resources. AND she shares what Camp Kesem is, and how helpful it was for her kids, and that slots are still open! First, $20k for healthy food, a high speed chase and the worst HOTD character.

Jake Healy from the Toledo Vet Center and his Director are by to discuss all aspect of veterans and their mental health, and the many free services they provide. The latter half of the episodes gets a bit more personal and bolts and nuts as soon-to-be Dr. Christopher Jackson shares much of his knowledge as an LPCC, and what symptoms he commonly sees with vets and some techniques that may be most helpful, including DBT, brain spotting and EMDR. 

That ties a bit back to something recently. AJ Brown's sentiment to just let people say something and you just move on along.  I want to ask yourself to honestly dissect why you're endeavoring to help. First, station things. Contests! Went back to a pizza spot I'd not done for a while. Whoa. Maybe I found a win for everyone with the Sheetz situation.    

A tree fell in Alex's yard. If it went the other direction her house would've been flattened, which would've been devastating if you had followed her odyssey trying to buy a home. Also, the unsurprising headaches that came with trying to get the mess cleaned up. Tik Tok is filled with a bunch of Columbusing! There's a boy band member who has to be happy Diddy is, rightly and deservedly, taking the brunt of celeb talk this week.

As we wrap up Mental Health month (EVERY MONTH IS MENTAL HEALTH MONTH), my friend Megan Scott returns as AFSP is looking for volunteers to help with all kinds of various duties thru the summer and leading up to the walk on Oct 5th. I also want to throw my 'what teen mental health crisis' thought at her, mom of a 16 year old daughter. 

We can't. Because of XXXXX we just can't walk away when we should and it's made the world a worse place.  Before that, RETROSKATE 2 details, including some that won't be on the air for a while. So many resources are available for all types of area residents. The city about to run their program to get people from renting into buying. In this case, the Greater Toledo Community Foundation wants to get your non-profit grant money! First, the TLC, Flo Rida, Retroskate, Walleye, and coming out of all I can eat retirement!

A question we should wonder when it comes to critics of roundabouts.  Brady Hall plead not guilty...to what he was guilty of. Lots of good causes to be a part of this weekend! My friends loved the trip back to the 80s. A wild Avril theory I'd never heard of. Told you, Ben.  I like to think I was a pioneer of the 'it's way better to watch at home!'

And get the hell off the WLS school board. Brady Hall was pulled over AGAIN.  I have a thing in common with Zayn Malik and Andy Cohen (not the Jewish part). Taylor IS a religion (for many) anyway, right!? It wasn't ALL the shrimp. 

I call it the start of summer and festival season in Toledo and NWO. As he's done for the last few years, Dan Finkel returns to tell us all about it, including more about his ROYAL duties for 2024!

Two entities who you'd believe to be in deep competition for finite resources in our area - Mom's House and The Pregnancy Center - have actually come together with a vision to help at risk mom's in Toledo.  Christina Rodriguez and Savannah Marten visit to share all about Laurie's Place to help those women.  TPC is faith based, so I sincerely thank Savannah for her cogent composed words on the topic of prochoice and prolife.
