The boys are back on the radio and what a way to start the new year! A cracking show full of great presenting and top quality scripts. Lovely confidence from the team and plenty of off-script chat from our hosts Benedict and Aarron.

The final podcast of this term looks back on a last week full of festive cheer. We say goodbye to Dave King, who has been associated with the school as a skilled piano teacher for 15 years, as well as reflect on a term that has been so full of magic, fun and excitement. Our final festive broadcast for 2018 comes from our super talented Breakfast Show team. Full of Christmas cheer, seasonal scripts and more great hosting, this is sure to get you in the mood for the big day!

Once again we had the pleasure of presenting a live OB from Wiltshire Heights Residential Care Home in Bradford on Avon where we spoke to some wonderful residents and shared a truly festive and fantastic afternoon.

In this penultimate episode of Talk, we continue the exciting run-in to Christmas with so much exciting festive fun happening at our school! Nativity Performances, shortbread making and even a live Christmas radio show from Wiltshire Heights!

In this last, festive Friday show of the term, our broadcasters present with the skill, professionalism and enthusiasm that we have come to expect from every Westwood Radio show. All the top stories from around the school and the community and the best way to start your weekend. This deserves a listen again!

Two new hosts took to the microphone this morning as Ella and Alice took control of another stunning show. With their own scripts and excellent presentation, everyone was on top form and this is always the best way to start the week!

This week gets even more festive as we look back on two fabulous activities organised by our Friends of Westwood School, a visit from the fabulous Jacolly Puppet Theatre and plenty of excellent learning. Plus, looking ahead to nativity performances and plenty of special Christmas excitement to come.

Our fabulous Breakfast Show team are back with another cracking show for you. Broadcast live at 8.15am, these children get into school early every Monday to present a show that they script and present themselves. Huge congratulations to Hattie and May for their tremendous hosting skills and to William for his first time on the emails and shout outs!

In this week's episode we look back on a packed week in the beginning of our lead up to Christmas. Including production practice, Bikeability, an ocarina assembly and, of course, our fabulous Christmas Fair, run by our amazing Friends of Westwood School.

What a fantastic time we had at our school Christmas Fair. Brilliantly organised by our Friends of Westwood School and with more profit made than last year it was another festive treat for the whole community. Of course Westwood Radio broadcast live both into and out of the fair online to the world. My HUGE thanks to Emily, Benedict, Megan, Luke, Matthew and of course, some returning broadcasters - Ellie, Izzy and Josh, we loved having you back! The boys took their broadcasting to another level today with some truly excellent off script banter, open mic discussion and well scripted features. With improved confidence and presentation, this was a stunning show full of personality and humour.

What a lovely time we had in the studio this morning. With two new hosts - well done Ella and May for an outstanding job! - there was plenty to entertain and inform at the start of the week. Our breakfast show team presenters really are going from strength to strength and I was so proud of everyone again this morning. It really is a pleasure to watch them broadcast.

What a treat for our broadcasters and our listeners today, as we were joined by Russell Prue of Anderton Tiger Broadcasting in the studio and Al Kingsley on the line, who were simultaneously interviewed about their wealth of edtech experience. Plus, hosts taking control for the first time, well done Jessica and Lucy and some stunning scripts and presentation from our team. Huge thanks to Russell and Al for their time, this is a great piece of education radio.

After an afternoon of inspiring blogging with David Mitchell, the children talk about what they have enjoyed and the impact it has had on their writing.

Today we welcomed blogging guru and inspirational edtech consultant David Mitchell for an interview in our studio. David discussed how he got started with blogging, the impact it has had on children's writing and gives tips for those just getting started with this writing approach.

Today we asked some of our children to tell us, in their own words, what they enjoyed about recording their CD and what made it special.
