Minicamp and other offseason workouts have concluded. Brandan and Adam talk about some of the major story lines coming out of Seattle. With all of the positive news coming from players and coaches, the guys talk about how to listen and certain cues that let you know just how excited about a particular player coaches actually are.  Marshawn Lynch appeared on 60 Minutes Sports and was very clear on whether or not he'll be returning to the football field. Is that going to stop reporters from speculating on his return? No, it probably won't. Because this is the season for making lists, we take a look at some of them and see just how poorly some of our favorite Seahawks rank out on those lists. From Earl Thomas taking a tremendous fall from where he was last year in the NFL Top 100 to Pete Prisco's ranking of Russell Wilson in his own top 100 list, the guys take a run at each of them as well as give credit where it is due. It's a show filled with interviews! Brandan and Adam are joined by Earl Lockette who talks about his son Ricardo and his announcement to retire from football. The Seahawks changed up in the NFL draft this year and showed they do care about the offensive line by taking a lineman in the first round for the first time since 2011. While the team made Adam happy with the offensive line picks, Brandan wonders if John Schneider was specifically trolling Adam by taking not just one running back, not to backs, but three running backs.  The guys get into a discussion about how the offensive line in shaping up with three new draft picks and where it sounds like those players are going to be competing. One particular guy of intrigue from the draft is the tight end from Ohio State nicknamed Baby Gronk and there's specific audio and responses to some questions that show exactly why he fits that description well. While we hoped it would be another year of the podcast leading up to the Super Bowl, it was bound to come to an end sometime. Adam and Brandan talk about the Seahawks matchup with the Panthers and how Carolina's energy propelled them to a tremendous lead. Yet, even down 31-0, this team didn't give up and fought back. An improbable win for the Seahawks this week as the Vikings kicker misses a late field goal that would've given the team the lead. The win was unlikely for a couple reasons. First, because no playoff team since 1978 has won a playoff game after not scoring in the first three quarters and Blair Walsh missed the shortest field goal that would've given his team a win. Adam and Brandan talk about how much of it had to do with playing in temperatures that cold and some of the plays that led to a Seahawks win. The defense played another road game where they didn't allow a touchdown and that made a huge difference in Sunday's game. The guys preview the rematch against the Carolina Panthers. Although the Panthers won their matchup in Seattle earlier this year, there are a lot of things that have changed since the first matchup. Adam and Brandan talk about how unexpected it was for the defense to get the record for scoring defense that seemed out of reach coming into a matchup with a high scoring offense like the Cardinals. Next up in the playoffs, the Seahawks face one of the tougher defenses, a Vikings defense now more healthy than last time, among the teams in the Wild Card round. The Seahawks lose for the third time at home this season, this time losing 23-17 to the St. Louis Rams. Leading from start to finish, they snap Russell Wilson and the Seahawks' streak of having a lead at some point during the game. Adam and Brandan talk about how it seemed like St. Louis was going to win when they managed to fumble their way down the field on their way to 23 points. Seattle had a chance at coming back up until Wilson lost the ball on the 10-yard line with less than five minutes to play. Looking ahead, the guys take a look at the Seahawks potential playoff matchups and who they'd like to see the team play among the Packers, Vikings and Skins. So many milestones to celebrate in this week's show. Our 100th show and the Seahawks are into the playoff for four straight seasons. The Seahawks made their final trip to the east coast for the regular season and as the playoff picture begins to take shape, it looks like they'll be heading back that way to start the postseason. Seattle gets another blowout victory defeating the Ravens 35-6. But it comes with a cost as rookie Thomas Rawls goes down to injury and is out for the rest of the season. The guys take a look at the running back situation. Fortunately Marshawn Lynch is set to return, maybe in time for the playoffs to start. The Seahawks dominate in a 38-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday and the Seattle rookies along with Russell Wilson were some of the biggest highlights of the day. The Seahawks have been winless against Pittsburgh for more than 10 years, and with the 39-30 victory the Seahawks beat a Ben Roethlisberger-led Steelers team for the first time. Adam and Brandan take a look at a couple critical errors by the Steelers and how the Seahawks were able to continue to show promise through improved offensive line play. Jimmy Graham is out for the season with a knee injury. Seattle is back to .500 with a 29-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Russell Wilson had a near perfect day and was perfect against the blitz, Thomas Rawls racked up more yards from scrimmage than Christine Michael had rushing yards in his entire Seahawks career, and Tyler Lockett catches two touchdown passes on the day to help the team toward victory. Adam and Brandan talk about the key plays in the game against the 49ers. Next up is a challenging matchup with the 6-4 Steelers. Big Ben will make his first visit to Seattle as the LOB faces off against a receiving corps and quarterback that rival the NFC West leading Cardinals. Another week against a winning team and another fourth quarter meltdown where the team is unable to hold a lead. As Adam says, "twice is a trend and three times is a you problem," we come to realize that we've never had to get to five before. What is five? We still don't know. We do know that there was reason to have confidence going into this game, but it's tough when your offense digs a first half hole thanks to penalties. We talk about other uncharacteristic moments that contributed to the loss and why this season has been so frustrating. The performance over the first half of the season shouldn't be that unexpected.
