  • 133: Eagles preview with a lifelong Philly fan, Fant stays in at left tackle, Thomas Rawls ready to play

    19/11/2016 Duration: 52min

The 5-4 Philadelphia Eagles travel to Seattle this weekend after taking down the Atlanta Falcons and their number one offense. The Eagles defense held the Falcons to only 15 points and continue to dominate on their home turf. But they only have one win on the road to this point in the season. Brandan has this defensive front ranked only behind teams like the Cardinals and Rams and are a huge key to their success. Adam thinks that a more mobile Russell Wilson has a chance to become the first quarterback to pass for more than 300 yards against this defense. Eagles fan Scott Fenimore comes on the show to talk about his impressions of the Eagles and whether he thinks Carson Wentz is the kind of quarterback that can lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl. He believes that even with the success of Dak Prescott that Wentz will be the best quarterback to come out of this draft class. Scott also talks about the weaknesses of this defense as well as inconsistencies with the wide receivers who play on the outside. In the last

  • 132: The Dark Knight Returns, Wilson vs Brady separated by one big stat, Jen Briney of Congressional Dish

    16/11/2016 Duration: 01h51min

Most Seahawks fans knew that it would be touch to expect a victory going on the road to take on Genghis Tom and the Patriots, but our Seahawks got it done. The 31-24 win came down to the final seconds of the game, something that is now becoming a weekly tradition. The offensive line did well to protect Russell Wilson, who threw for nearly 350 yards. By all accounts Wilson showed that he could outduel Brady, but there was one stat that really separated these two quarterbacks. A ton of credit for the win goes to the defense, a group that once again was able to keep the opposing team out of the end zone with another goal line stand. Coach Carroll helped make it a bit more interesting by going for two late in the game, and the guys talk about how Carroll was taking an opportunity to close out the Patriots and would have made the end of the game a lot less stressful. The guys revisit the discussion about Kam Chancellor from last show, because Kam came out and proved the kind of impact that he can have on this defe

  • 131: Carpenter not fined for kicking Sherman, Seahawks advantages vs the Patriots, and Belichick steals a page from Lynch's playbook

    11/11/2016 Duration: 01h42min

The guys return home to Montana after a great trip out to Seattle for the Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills. The Seahawks picked up their fifth win of the season with a 31-25 victory and the guys take a look at some of the biggest plays, concerns with the secondary, and take a closer look at the play at the end of the half. If Dan Carpenter's wife thinks it's okay to suggest that Sherman be castrated, then I think it's fair to question the league on why they didn't fine the Bills kicker for drilling our cornerback with his foot. Considering there's a lot of anxiety among Seahawks fans going into this game against the Patriots, Adam helps break down some of the matchups where Seattle may be favored. Even though the Seahawks are underdogs of more than a touchdown, this is a winnable game for the team. How many times have we seen them perform at their best when others have been doubting them the most? In the second half of the show we run down the winners of the pick'em leagues and we have our

  • Seahawks vs Bills postgame show with the U.K. Sea Hawkers

    08/11/2016 Duration: 29min

The Seahawks come away with a 31-25 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Adam and Brandan are joined by Stu and Adam of the U.K. Sea Hawkers to talk about another prime time win.  But with any win on Monday night game, there in controversy in a Seahawks win and the guys talk about the end of the first half and how fans can expect a new rule to come out of everything that transpired. The guys talk about an incredible game by Jimmy Graham who goes over 100 yards again and catches two touchdowns in one hand pinned behind his back by a defender. Is Bobby Wagner the best middle linebacker in the league right now? Another 16 tackles this week and he also gets a half a sack. The Seahawks are 5-2-1 at the halfway point and despite traveling to New England next week, fans can be happy with how this first half have turned out considering the many challenges this team has faced. Not only that, Russell Wilson looks like he's back to form and ready for going into the second half of the season. Wilson e

  • 130: Negative plays doom Seahawks vs Saints, Carroll says change is coming in next couple weeks, Bills preview, and revisiting 2016 expectations

    03/11/2016 Duration: 01h59min

The Seahawks go down to New Orleans and jump out quickly against the Saints with a 14-3 lead. But add in a turnover with their inability to sustain a drive and hold the ball in terms of time of possession, the Saint climb back in to within a point of the Seahawks by halftime. While there was a lot of talk about some significant calls and missed calls by the referees, Adam and Brandan explain why this Seahawks team should have been able to outscore Drew Brees and the Saints offense. Seattle ran fewer than 20 plays in the first half one week after a similar scenario in Arizona. Coach Carroll recognizes the issues the offense is seeing and he says we can expect changes in the upcoming weeks. Does Marshawn Lynch's visit to the Seahawks facility have anything to do with Carroll's expectations for change? Adam and Brandan speculate on the possibilities. Adam predicts a tight game with the Bills, but it could depend on which Buffalo team shows up. They've been up and down and now have lost back-to-back games to AFC

  • 129: First tie game in Seahawks history, a historic defensive performance, New Orleans Saints preview

    27/10/2016 Duration: 01h44min

Note: We had some technical issues after finishing up with the recording this week. Adam's audio was sucked into the same vortex as Hauschka's game winning field goal, so we're going with his back up audio AND he's on the road, which makes it even worse. There's a lot to process with this week's tie game against the Cardinals. Not only was it the lowest scoring tie game in NFL history, it was the first time the Seahawks have ever tied an opponent. Adam and Brandan take you through the historic effort by the defense with incredible performances by Bobby Wagner, Cliff Avril and many others. We could run down the entire defensive roster if we were only handing out praise. But we also have to talk about the issues the Seahawks have at each of the tackle positions and what we think they'll do moving forward at those spots. The guys look ahead to the game against the New Orleans Saints, a team that has the ability to score quickly and get out ahead of teams early, especially playing at home. But while playing at ho

  • 128: Seahawks outplay Falcons 3-to-1, an in-depth look at the Falcons final play, Sunday Night Football vs Arizona

    20/10/2016 Duration: 01h38min

The Seahawks dominate the Falcons for three of the four quarters of Sunday's game and come away with a 26-24 victory. The final wasn't without controversy as Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas broke up a pass intended for Julio Jones and it looked like pass interference could have been called on Sherman. The guys talk about the play and break down some of the differences in the Seahawks defense that allowed the Falcons to run up 21 points in one quarter. We preview the upcoming matchup with the division rival Arizona Cardinals. The surging Cardinals have won in back-to-back weeks against the 1-5 San Francisco 49ers and 1-5 New York Jets. A Seahawks win means they go up 2.5 games in the standings while a loss puts them only a half-game ahead of the Cardinals. Adam's do better goes out to the editors of Inside the NFL, and as pointed out by @hwkbdgr, @jaredStanger and posted to @hawkblogger by @EvanonHB, the editors of the show cut the footage of the final offensive play by the Falcons to remove the interaction b

  • 127: Why Seahawks fans should be confident about this Falcons matchup, were Russell Wilson's injuries a blessing, and an interview with Doc Scott

    13/10/2016 Duration: 01h39min

After an early bye week, the Seahawks have an opportunity to get healthy and capture the lead in the NFC West after a Rams loss to the Buffalo Bills. Seattle is set to take on a red hot Atlanta Falcons team that, in back-to-back weeks, has defeated the two teams that faced off in last year's Super Bowl. But this is exactly the type of team the Seahawks have proven they can dominate and the guys explain why this could lead to Matt Ryan's first loss at CenturyLink Field. Roger in Chicago brings up the question of Russell Wilson and if his limited mobility will prove to be a blessing in disguise in giving him some practice at seeing what can happen when he hangs in the pocket perhaps a bit longer than he normally would. The guys also talk about how the departure of Marshawn Lynch makes this team a bit different in terms of how they might approach opponents from week to week. Scott McIlroy, a drum and bass DJ known as Doc Scott, joins the show to talk about some of his favorite Seahawks moments including his firs

  • 126: Russell Wilson delivers MVP performance in 27-17 win, offensive line delivers, Seahawks bye week history

    05/10/2016 Duration: 01h29min

The Seattle Seahawks get a 27-17 win over the New York Jets as the team heads into their bye week. Considering the team's dominance at MetLife, is it time to start referring to the stadium as CenturyLink east? And how gratifying was it to see, just days after an article saying how a one-legged Wilson was as useful as a right handed Jim Zorn, Russell Wilson deliver one of the best performances of his career. Just barely into his fifth season, Wilson is standing alone among quarterbacks who came before him. The guys explain. Wilson isn't the only one who gets a ton of credit for the win. The guys talk about how the Seahawks first rounder picked right back up where he left off in the preseason and with Justin Britt's pancake blocks, and Glowinski having a solid performance are giving this interior offensive line an attitude we haven't seen from a Seahawks offensive line in recent memory. Jimmy Graham and Doug Baldwin continue to catch nearly everything thrown their way while the defense is as dominant as ever. A

  • 125: Seahawks win big vs 49ers, Russell Wilson suffers another injury, who should play QB vs Jets,

    29/09/2016 Duration: 01h14min

Seahawks fans finally get what they've been expecting to see from this year's team as Seattle jumps out to a 37-3 lead against the San Francisco 49ers. Two late touchdowns by the Niners brings the final score to 37-18, but there wasn't a point in the game where the Seahawks weren't in control. From the third play of the game where Christine Michael bolted into the end zone from 41 yards out to the final touchdown catch by Doug Baldwin from the backup quarterback, the outcome of the game was never in question. The guys talk about the injury to Russell Wilson and how they feel about the idea of having him play in the game against the Jets. Does it make sense to have him sit out and be ready for the 12-game stretch of regular season opponents after the bye week? With the Jets coming off a performance where they turned over the ball eight times, it's possible Seattle can go to the east coast and pick up a win with Trevone Boykin. With Thomas Rawls out for a few more weeks the Seahawks go out and sign C.J. Spiller

  • 124: What went wrong vs the Rams, getting the run game on track vs 49ers, Rich Madrid interview

    22/09/2016 Duration: 01h31min

The Seahawks lose their first road game of the season, 9-3 in Los Angeles, and at this point should we really be surprised that it came at the hands of a Rams team that continues to find a way to beat Seattle even after moving into the same time zone? Though we knew going into this game it was going to be a tough matchup for this Seahawks offensive line, there are a couple players that stand out in a bad way and one player that is now standing above the rest. Defensively, this team couldn't be playing much better, but they couldn't seem to get a stop when the Rams were deep in their own territory and that made field position a key part of the game. With San Francisco next up on the schedule, the guys wonder which 49ers defense shows up this week in Seattle. Will it be the one that shut down Todd Gurley and shut out the Rams in their home opener, or the one that allowed 176 rushing yards and more than 500 yards total against the Carolina Panthers. For the defense to continue dominating the opposition, the guys

  • 123: Seattle's throwback to 2013 in a win, the Rams week 1 trap game, former Seahawks long snapper Nate Boyer interview

    15/09/2016 Duration: 01h49min

The Seahawks open the season with a 12-10 win over the Miami Dolphins. Defense and special teams carried the day for most of the game and the offense comes up with a 75-yard drive when they need it most to earn the victory. While Brandan wants to hand deliver a game ball to Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills, Adam gives his to Jeremy Lane who had a tremendous impact as part of the Legion of Boom. The defense, apart from one star player, seemed to have its swagger and looked like the defense that led the scoring the past four years. The guys preview the game against the Rams and cover the most interesting play from their week 1 game against the 49ers. Adam talks about how fans can completely throw logic out the window when it comes to the games where the Seahawks play the Rams. Former Seahawks long snapper and Army veteran Nate Boyer returns to the show and the guys discuss the Seahawks demonstration of unity and talk about their disappointment with much of the media leading up to the game. He also talks about the

  • 122: Kicking off the 2016 season vs the Miami Dolphins, Seahawks roster rundown, Sam Marcoux of the Perfectville podcast

    07/09/2016 Duration: 01h47min

It's here! The regular season of the NFL is upon us and the Seahawks kick off the 2016 season at home against the Miami Dolphins. This is a special game for Adam, considering how he's shown no attempt to hide is disdain for the Dolphins over the years. The guys preview the matchup with the Dolphins and go over the 53 players who made the cut as well as the announcement of team captains. Sam Marcoux, host of the Perfectville podcast for the Miami Dolphins, joins the show to talk about his thoughts on Miami's preseason. He says this can be a make or break year for the Dolphins and whether Ryan Tannehill can be their future franchise quarterback. Sam answers Adam's biggest question of whether or not the Dolphins have a tight end with the ability to consistently burn the Seahawks defense.  Time is running out to get into the Sea Hawkers Podcast pick'em league and the Patron-only pick'em league especially if you want to try and earn the high score. Links for each league are below. Be sure you're signed into your a

  • 121: 53-man roster predictions, takeaways from the preseason win over the Cowboys, Tom Spindler president of the Mat-Su Sea Hawkers

    30/08/2016 Duration: 01h46min

This week, Adam and Brandan kick off the show by hitting the highlights from the Seahawks 27-17 preseason win over the Cowboys. While there are concerns out there with the ability to stop the run and get to the quarterback, Brandan and Adam come up with a scale of effort to explain why Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett may not be as effective in the preseason. Russell Wilson and the first-team offense put points on the board for the first time this year and Boykin adds one on for good measure late in the game to help solidify the win. Before the news of roster cuts started to roll out on Monday, the guys laid out their predictions on who would make the team. While Adam thought there was still a chance Browner would make the team, it wasn't something he was confident about. Who does that leave a spot open for on the defense? Tom Spindler, president of the Mat-Su Sea Hawkers, joins the show to talk about his thoughts on the Cowboys game and outlook for the 2016 season. The chapter is one of the few, and maybe the

  • 120: Michael continues to impress vs Vikings, the return of Mr. T, and Sam Smith talks 2016 expectations

    22/08/2016 Duration: 01h31min

It's the first loss of the season as the Seahawks fall 18-11 to the Vikings. Despite a late interception that allowed the go ahead touchdown for the Vikings, Trevone Boykin had another exciting outing and once again nearly brought the team back at the end of the game. Adam and Brandan talk about what they saw with the first team offense as Christine Michael continues to impress. Russell Wilson had an impressive dime that he dropped right to Tyler Lockett. Not so impressive was the Seahawks pass rush or the ability to cover tight ends. It's another trip to Prisco's World this week as Pete continues to throw around the "good, not great" quote when speaking about Russell Wilson. But who are some of the other names that Prisco has attached that phrase to? It sounds like Wilson might be in some impressive company when you look at other players Prisco has dropped into that category. Sam Smith of the Military Sea Hawkers joins the show to talk about the game. For members of the military chapter, Sam writes a weekly

  • 119: Seahawks first 'Holy Catfish' moment of 2016 season vs Chiefs, Jordan Babineaux and Jermaine Kearse interviews

    16/08/2016 Duration: 01h40min

The longer Pete Carroll coaches, the more efficient he becomes, because we're only one  game into the preseason and he already has the young players understanding the mentality of the team to play until the last second ticks off the clock. That's exactly what the team did this week as the Seahawks trailed for the entirety of the game. All sixty minutes! With all zeros on the clock Trevonne Boykin tosses a hail mary to put the Seahawks within a point of the Chiefs and they're able to win on the 2-point conversion. Adam and Brandan talk about some of the takeaways from this week's game and which players and position groups have them the most excited. The guys talk about their visit to training camp and welcome Jordan Babineaux and Jermaine Kearse to the show. They're also joined by Petty Officer 1st Class Derek Hall as he spends his day at camp getting ready to run an obstacle course set up for the military after the Seahawks finish up practice. In the final segment of the show, the guys cover emails from the p

  • 118: 2016 Season Expectations, John Costacos talks about Seahawks posters new and old

    05/08/2016 Duration: 02h05s

A huge show to kick off the 2016 season with training camp underway we're starting to see where some of the major areas of competition will be. Adam and Brandan talk about how cornerback is shaping up to be a fun spot to watch. The team on offensive line has five guys showing up consistently among the starting group. Competition at some of the final defensive line spots may have gotten easier now that Chris Clemons has decided to retire right before camp. The guys talk about what that means for the team. The main thing this show is about is looking at not just our own expectations for the team, but the expectations of fellows fans. Ross Bell of the UK Sea Hawkers and co-host of The Pedestrian Podcast joins the show to talk about his thoughts and how he thinks this will be a breakout season for Cassius Marsh. Clinton Bonner, contributor on seahawkerspodcast.com shares his top picks from his upcoming 3 In, 3 Out blog that focuses on the offseason. His top pick for a breakout year is Frank Clark. With the new Ar

  • 117: Know Your Rival: San Francisco 49ers w/ Oscar of the Better Rivals Podcast

    29/07/2016 Duration: 01h29min

A while back the guys talked about being nervous if Training Camp rolled around and John Schneider or Pete Carroll didn't have a new deal. It turns out nobody has to be nervous now that the two are under long-term deals.  Adam and Brandan talk about a couple other news items -- like a new Russell Wilson poster, before moving on to the main topic of the show. Oscar of the Better Rivals podcast joins us to talk about the "Walsh Lobe" portion of the brain that all 49ers fans who lived through the 80s have. We talk about an offensive line that may be more questionable than the Seahawks and a line that may not know which quarterback they'll be protecting. Oscar offers his thoughts on who he expects to start at that position. Because his Better Rivals isn't just about 49ers football, it's also about having a deeper understanding of the game, we talk about how a quarterback can develop something Adam has mentioned on the show before -- the dreaded "David Carr syndrome." In the final portion of the show, Adam respond

  • 116: Know Your Rival: Los Angeles Rams w/James and Bear of the LA Rams Podcast

    22/07/2016 Duration: 01h24min

With only a week to go until training camp and no major news to concern Seahawks fans, some were a bit worried about the latest comments from Michael Bennett talking about being underpaid. We've heard this story before. Adam and Brandan talk about their two big concerns going into camp: uncertainty on the offensive line and Tyler Lockett hype. With Pete Prisco putting Kam on the top of his list of most overrated players, it's time for another edition of Prisco's World--now with theme music. The Know Your Rival series continues with James and Bear of the LA Rams Podcast. How well did the trade for Jared Goff go over with them? The guys get into which back will have the better season between Thomas Rawls and Todd Gurley and we need your help figuring out the stakes of this competition. Tweet your #RawlsGurley suggestions to @AdamTheRant and @LA_RAMblingBear. The Sea Hawkers BBQ is July 30 in Bellevue. Visit SeaHawkers.org for more info. • 115: Know Your Rival: Arizona Cardinals w/Mike Wright of the Fantasy Footballers Podcast

    15/07/2016 Duration: 01h36min

If you follow the world of podcasting, you may have noticed that the Fantasy Footballers Podcast is collecting awards in the same way the Arizona Cardinals like to collect wideouts with the last name Brown. Mike Wright, a fan of the Arizona Cardinals and co-host of the Fantasy Footballers Podcast joins us to talk about how Arizona fans are feeling going into this season. Not only is there tremendous optimism for a team defending its NFC West crown, fans got to enjoy a treat in the past couple weeks of the All of Nothing series which gave an unprecedented look behind the scenes of a football team with Super Bowl aspirations. The guys talk about some of the surprising moments from the show and try and talk Adam into watching it too. Adam and Mike talk about how this season could hinge on the health of Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer, while Mike predicts this year as the final year of Larry Fitzgerald's career. Adam and Mike disagree on their assessment of Cardinals running back David Johnson while trying to
