It's been a big week for Nottingham Forest Football Club, as they digest the four point deduction handed down for breaching profit and sustainability regulations. It was so near and yet so far for the Reds, as despite having the best chances, they only scored one goal, before the inevitable sucker punch when Luke Berry scored from (you guessed it) a set piece for Luton. Some fans were angry at the inability to take chances and also the substitutions made by Nuno, which left Forest with five at the back and no striker. Another disappointing result as Forest had chances, but failed to take them. The truth is, for all the grumbling about the referee not sending of Jakub Moder, the Reds could have played all day and not scored. For the second time in a few days, a promising display by the Reds but a controversial late winner - but the way that this one went in makes Wednesday's goal look just fine. In case you missed it, Forest were attacking the Liverpool area in stoppage time, when the ref stopped play for a head injury (hmmm) and erroneously gave the ball to the away team, stopping the Reds' attack and allowing Liverpool to pile on the pressure, which ended in Darwin Nunez's goal. Forest lost away to an Aston Villa team who look exceptional under Unai Emery, but you could argue that the Reds were once again masters of their own downfall with poor defending leaving them 3-0 down before they even got going. Moussa Niakhate and Morgan Gibbs-White scored either side of the break to give hope to the visitors, but Villa took control again and scored a fourth after more poor defending. Well, that felt good didn't it? A strong performance by the Reds at home to hapless West Ham was capped by a goal in stoppage time at the end of each half by Taiwo Awoniyi and Callum Hudson-Odoi respectively. Forest had much to be pleased about, and will only wish that they had scored the five or six goals that they threatened, with keeper Alphonse Areola the strongest player for the visitors. Annoyingly, frustratingly and disappointingly, Forest's poor home form continues, as despite fighting back twice, poor defending cost them three goals and Newcastle took all three points. A great goal by Callum Hudson-Odoi was the only real moment of quality in a scrappy game that was epitomised by Phillip Billing's red card for a nasty challenge on the Reds winger.
