In honour of the release of The Irishman, we are counting down the TOP 10 movies of one of the greatest (maybe THE greatest?) film makers of all time: the incomparable and iconic Martin Scorsese. Known first and foremost as the king of the gangster flick, and for good reason. Dig a bit deeper though, and incredible wealth of knowledge is displayed on screen depicting various forms of mental disorder, stunning biopic realisations and an unrelenting love for New York which seems to play a central part to many of his films. Such is the prowess of this director, he attracts some of the biggest names in the business to work with him, names such as Robert DeNiro, Leonardo Di Caprio and Daniel Day Lewis. In honour of the release of The Joker - which, by the way, you need to go and see - we thought the time was perfect to do a TOP 10 Special and Rank the Batman villains in Movies. In honour of the release of Disney's Dora movie (this was literally a blink and you'll miss it release here in the UK), the Silver Screen Dudes are throwing together their Top 10 favourite Treasure Hunt Movies. Aside from the obvious like Indiana Jones and Lara Croft, there are some genre defining entries into this list, including some superb animes, some genre-defining westerns, pirates, and even Nicholas Cage. Seriously, what more could you want?Quick heads up also, we're going to be taking a quick two week break as we will be away on holiday, but hold tight we'll be back with some fresh new content and also some guests. With Hobbs and Shaw nearing the end of it's run in theatres, we finally got around to seeing it (quick review can be found on our Instagram page), and while the movie was dead average visual noise, The Rock was predictably charming and screen filling as always.As such we decided to count down the TOP 10 Movies featuring a wrestler, though we adding a special stipulation: we're only allowed to use each wrestler once in this list - so no multiple entries for The Rock or Jon Cena. Believe it or not there are some absolute gems in this list and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we have enjoyed compiling it!

So we're a bit late to the party bringing you this one (reason being, one of us was on holiday...), but better late than never. To mark the technological cinema landmark that is the new photo-real Lion King (not live action), we are counting do3n the TOP 10 technologically groundbreaking movies in cinema history.From a piece of tech like in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, to a new camera used like in Avatar, to rewriting an entire genre like Toy Story, this list is for those who appreciate why are movies like so damn good today and who want to take a look back and see just how we got here. In honour of his latest stellar role as Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, in which he is surrounded by an equally stellar cast and still steals the show, we are counting down the TOP 10 Bard Pitt Movies.To most, he is the quintessential Hollywood Hunk - understandable when you consider movies like Ocean's 11, Troy and Legends of the Fall. To the Silver Screen Dudes, he is a character actor trapped in a handsome man's body. He is so much more than just good looks. Consider his performances in flicks like Snatch, Moneyball, SpyGame, Twelve Monkeys to name but a few. That's why we're doing this list, to shine light on the genius that is Brad Pitt, his acting ability, and yes... also those abs.

This is a strange long-overdue one. We've been doing this now for over a season and a half, and going through our back catalog of episodes, we have noticed that there is a SERIOUS lack of female representation in our topics, and for this we apologise. We're going to keep it balanced of course, but this is a long-overdue episode, as until now, there have been two episodes that focused on women in Hollywood: not good enough (we say to ourselves).We've counted down the TOP 10 comedies before, so here's the TOP 10 female-led comedies. In honour of the release of his 9th Movie, we are counting down the TOP 10 Quentin Tarantino Movies. "How does that work or make sense?" we hear you ask! Well some of you may know, and others may not - which hey, is why the Silver Screen Dudes are here - that Tarantino has contributed, produced, introduced and written a vast array of other mesmeric projects which is why this podcast is here.Very few, if any, directors working today possess Tarantino's "je ne sais quoi", his pazzazz, and his style, his unrelenting ability to write catchy dialogue and his uncanny ability to challenge film conventions and reimagine the long-established. This list we hope pays some tribute to a blisteringly brilliant career.

In honour of the release of Anna (ok we admit "honour" might be stretch coz it's not great), we thought we would take the opportunity to count down some of the TOP 10 Movie Heroines that actually are great! When done properly, a well written, well performed female character is one the most empowering symbols in all of film. The roles we have picked never pander, never just exist"because we need a women", and are never there to tick a political correctness box. They allow women the same platform as men to express themselves and show exactly why they should be granted equal opportunity, not just i film, but everywhere. With regards to film though, these roles are quite simply incredible, and some of the most memorable in Hollywood history!

Ok, ok, we know we are a little late on this one as Aladdin has been ut for a while now, but... In honour of Aladdin, we are counting down the TOP 10 Will Smith movies. This guy epitomised the Summer Blockbuster, and for an age, every single summer, we were all looking forward to the new Will Smith movie (many of his Summer Blockbusters feature here). That said, Will has also got some serious comedic and dramatic chops, and we are honouring his entire scope of film on this list. Time for another fan selection episode! Our regular listener Lizzie has requested a TOP 10 of Jake Gyllenhal Movies, and with the impending release of Spider-Man Far From Home, which will star Jake as the beloved villain, Mysterio, what better time to count down Jake Gyllenhal's TOP 10 Movies!?To say that his filmography is unique would be an understatement! Very few actors on the planet (if any?) have the diverse selection of films and broad array of talent on display that can be seen in a Gyllenhal movie. The one smilarity between all of them is Jake's one of a kind talent to unsettle the audience with his performances.
