Mario's Minute

This episode of Mario's Minute features @Kacey, fellow YouTuber who works on a variety of gaming topics with a bit of a focus on weird console ports. She took some time to hang out for a couple of hours and discuss XLink Kai, college experiences, cars, and the importance of work spaces.

A new year, a new solo episode of Mario's Minute! In this episode I discuss the recent price increase, and sudden retraction, of Xbox Live Gold being doubled to $120. I also upgraded an older desktop as well as a few of my consoles with SSDs, so I take some time out to discuss my experiences and thoughts covering that venture. To top off the upgrades, new monitors have arrived! Tune in for these experience recaps and more.

For the final episode of 2020 we're joined by FrameRater! He stops by for a couple of hours as we discuss gaming as work, the Cyberpunk 2077 launch situation, and adventures with an upcoming Philips CD-i purchase. We also talk repair stories and odd issues we can't explain with consoles, because electronics do that sort of thing. 

The ninth generation of game consoles is here with the Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 all hitting virtual store shelves! And guess who got one or all of them? Definitely not me, but that won't stop me from discussing my thoughts over their releases! I also discuss and pose the question to you all asking: When does a game console become retro? Aside from that, in this episode I discuss my experiences with glasses, as well as share a few more game shop stories.

Spooky bot filled preorder season this time around on Mario's Minute! In this episode I discuss my thoughts over the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X consoles. We gotta include the madness that was preordering these consoles, don't we? While there's been major difficulty for people trying to preorder any of these three systems, it seems like it has been even worse for anyone trying to get one of the new RTX cards! Oh, and I brought in a story from my time working at a game shop.

Old friend of the show TheOnlyZoltan joins in as a guest for this month's Mario's Minute! We take a couple of hours out to reminisce over how we originally met, as well as talk about some current events. Some of these include LeafyIsHere's termination, the lawsuit Epic Games filed against Apple, and some experiences/tips setting up new PCs for family members.  

Going solo again for this episode of Mario's Minute! As July was a bit of a busy month for me, I spend some time talking about what's been going on recently. In the gaming world, I give my thoughts on the price hike we'll be seeing for next generation consoles with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X games retailing for $70 US Dollars. The Xbox One gets some love this episode as I ask the listeners about an issue I ran into recently while refurbishing one. Oh, and there's a dead squirrel story in here.

In this episode of Mario's Minute I chronicle the recent repair issues I've had with my own car, in which I've had more faults with the mechanics as opposed to actual car issues! I can now officially say I do two podcasts again, as I talk about my thoughts on the return of ModChat. Finally, I also share a few stories from my days of working at a local video game store... With the news of Final Fantasy VII Remake being delayed, I also wanted to discuss my thoughts over the remake as well as the original all these years later.

Welcome back to a spooky Halloween edition of Mario's Minute! In this solo episode I'll be using the timing to talk about past and present Halloween experiences. I also have another update to provide in regards to the basement leaks mentioned last month with Pathogen-David. Getting to meet nothing,nowhere., one of my favorite musicians, was an experience that I had to talk about on here as well. Finally, I've gotten back into The Witcher 3 thanks to the recent Switch port! So I figured discussing that would be great as well.

This month of Mario's Minute features long time personal friend as well as friend of the show Pathogen-David! We go off on a ton of tangents in the midst of our topics, but this 3 hour show flew by for the both of us. Pathogen-David also provides an additional voice of insight on my recent basement flood as he's the one who helped with the repairs! Join us as we discuss the flood, YouTube's shenanigans with verification badges, as well as some talk about Untitled Goose Game.

In this solo episode of Mario's Minute, I take some time to discuss getting up to 20 episodes of Mario's Minute as well as future plans for ModChat, my main podcast. Since the last episode, shopping around for a used car has taken up a nice chunk of free time. I decided to use this opportunity to recap my experiences as well as to hopefully provide some advice to any other inexperienced car shoppers. I also take the opportunity to discuss Nickelodeon's latest nostalgic film releases, in the form of the Rocko's Modern Life and Invader Zim movies.

Skullator spends a couple hours chatting away on this episode of Mario's Minute! We go a bit all over the place here, but of course we had to talk modding while we had each other on the line here.
