    DuEwa Frazier, a writer, author, educator, and award-nominated poet was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. For several years, 52 Street Positive has been honored to receive numerous awards for mentoring, youth advocacy, and fatherhood engagement.  Now, they have combined all three aspects into a distinct collaboration to prevent child maltreatment for the positive. Consider these facts courtesy of the US Dept of Health and Human Services: The estimated annual cost of child abuse and neglect in the United States alone reached $124 billion in 2008.Child abuse occurs at every socioeconomic level, across all ethnic and cultural lines, within all religions and at all levels of education.  Approximately 3 million reports of child abuse in the U.S. are made annually.  There are more than 470,000 children in foster care.  Approx 30% of abused and neglected children will later abuse their own children, continuing the horrible cycle of abuse.  A child abuse report is made every 10 seconds in the US.  68

    From a small town 45 miles southwest of Cleveland, Ohio, John Turner grew up in a large family.  His mother, whom he loved so dearly, died in 2003. His book, Take This Journey With Me, is the first of many of the many fiction and nonfiction he plans to write.  This, his first book, is one with 100 hundred chapters in what is essentially 100 poems. As a book of poetry it explores situations and emotions that we all can relate to as fellow citizens on this planet we call Earth.
