    13/08/2014 Duration: 58min

And Stress-Free Simplicity We live in a time where we’re not considered “green” enough unless we quit our day job and devote our entire life to attaining a totally carbon-neutral lifestyle, or throw out all of our possessions and replace them with their new “green” alternatives. I, for one, am not willing to give up my refrigerator for a year and I won’t be trading in my car for a bike. This whole eco-friendly thing seems to have devolved into a horrific cycle of guilt, shaming and one-upping, and as a result people are becoming annoyed and exhausted. How can you go about realistically adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle without losing your mind from the soul-destroying guilt of not going completely “green”? There is a way . . .  many ways actually. There are things we can do that are small enough, simple enough and require so little effort that anyone can do them . . . if they want to. If you do, the impact will be greater than you could ever possibly imagine for generations to come.

    06/08/2014 Duration: 57min

“Constructive wallowing” seems like an oxymoron. Constructive is a good thing, but wallowing is bad. Right? But wait a minute; is it really so terrible to give ourselves a time-out to feel our feelings? Or is it possible that wallowing is an act of loving kindness, right when we need it most? Almost everyone loves the idea of self-compassion — the notion that maybe in spite of our messy emotions and questionable behavior, we really aren’t all that bad. In recent years there’s been an explosion of books that encourage readers to stop beating themselves up for being human, which is terrific. Unfortunately, readers who aren’t interested in Buddhism or meditation have been left out in the cold. Constructive Wallowing is the first book to cut right to the chase, bypassing descriptions of Eastern philosophy and meditation techniques to teach readers how to accept and feel their feelings with self-compassion for greater emotional health. It’s tempting to turn away from menacing, uncomfortable feelings like an

    25/06/2014 Duration: 58min

Learning how to use our intuition is more important now than it has ever been before because we are exposed to more information, more opinion and more distraction than ever before. A recent UCLA study revealed that we are exposed to about 175 newspapers worth of data each day. Which is 5 times more information than we were exposed to just 20 years ago. If we want our lives to be filled with happiness, health and prosperity, we need to learn how to surf that tsunami of information instead of being drowned by it. Developing our intuition is crucial in order to know what is truly in our deepest and most powerful best interest, if we want to make empowered decisions that will guide us to our highest good without needing to follow the crowd or rely on popular opinion. Developing our intuitive intelligence empowers us to make wise and beneficial choices that please and inspire us and allows us to navigate through life with an expanded sense of ease and well being.

  • The Wisdom of Near-Death Experiences

    16/04/2014 Duration: 51min

Penny Sartori is a registered nurse who began researching Near Death Experiences (NDEs) in 1995 after one of her long-term intensive care patients begged her to let him die in peace. The event shook her deeply and eventually led her to enroll in a PhD program to research NDEs. Sartori studied three samples of ICU patients during a five year period. The first consisted of 243 patients from the first year of data collection who survived their ICU experience. Of those, two experienced an NDE, and two an out-of-body experience (OBE). The second cohort consisted of survivors of cardiac arrest during the five year period. Of those, 39 patients (or 18%) experienced an NDE. The third cohort consisted of all the patients who experienced an NDE during the five year period. One patient in particular, patient number 10, stands out for Sartori. “He was in bad condition,” she says. “When we put him into bed he was unconscious and unresponsive. Later he reported an OBE. He was accurately able to tell us which doctor was i

  • What are you waiting for? Learn how to rise to the occasion of your life

    09/04/2014 Duration: 54min

We don’t try; we give up. We sell out and we forget who we are. We are afraid to succeed, afraid to fail, and afraid to say we are afraid. But as Wayne Gretzky said, “You'll always miss one-hundred percent of the shots you don't take!” Kristen Moeller's mission in life is to inspire you to get on the path, move forward and take the shot. The time has come to stop waiting for the world to make sense. The time has come to stop waiting for life to slow down and things to settle out. The time has come to live our lives anyway—in the face of waiting, of massive upheaval, as well as everyday stumbling blocks. If this really is our “one wild precious life,” what are we doing about that? Will we live in fear of the other shoe dropping? Or will we go forth anyway, into the unknown, embracing the uncertain and reveling in the wildness of the in-between? Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, “WOW . . . What a ride!”
