In the heaviness of this moment in history may we never be the same....may real and lasting change finally happen in our country and our world but most important, in our hearts. Yet for lasting change, we must ultimately look to God. We must work to mend this, but we can’t do this without the Mender. I’m amazed! Even in just five episodes, I feel like I have grown leaps and bounds and THIS is the promise of God’s living and active Word, it never returns void! He Himself said, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.” (Jer 1:12) I’ll admit, I was a bit intimidated of this Psalm at first, but as we’ve been willing to ask God together—to come and show us His insight and give us His wisdom—I stand amazed that He’s given us something NEW each time! I have to say that God moved my heart in a really sweet way in the making of this episode, so much that it surprised me! I’m so loving this “message in the middle” to ENDURE as the people of God! Thankfully, it’s not a checklist because no one needs another one of those! I’m so excited to be back for some special episodes this Fall! The Lord gave me this theme, “The Message in the Middle” and it started as something personal but then I realized that it’s really for all of us! If you’re anything like me, you might be trying to figure out - right about now - what it looks like to live purposely and intentionally inside of this withering world around us. What does it look like to remain faithful in the middle of it all? Here between the now and the not yet. Our spiritual reality is that we are in the middle of a war! What does it look like for us to steadily stand in the middle of it all? I’m realizing more and more that it is not only good, but vital, that we remind each other to stand firm, to remain, to stay…to last! But how do we do that? There’s something beautiful about giving ourselves permission to let HOPE rise up in our hearts because eventually, that HOPE begins to seep out on others! As we continue our series called, “Come Magnify the Lord With Me” we will acknowledge that we do have an enemy who loves to keep us isolated and silenced as he stirs the pot with our worries and fears. I’m so loving this theme, “Come Magnify the Lord With Me” as it’s reminding me that we are all MADE to worship. There’s something in us, deep down, that craves connection with God. It’s natural that we all desire the blessing of God on us and we even deeply need ministry from Him, we are human! Do I believe God blesses us and ministers to us? YES! But, there’s also something that we offer in worship that’s unique to WHO we are and that blesses and ministers to God in the most beautiful way! I was telling a friend of mine this week about the first time that I ever lifted my hands in worship. As I was talking about it, I realized that I lifted my hands to Him during a season of my life where He was bringing true restoration to some very broken things that my family had experienced. I was only 17. But I realized that lifting my hands in the moment was a very appropriate response, the more my friend and I talked about it. It was a present response, and we’ll even talk about this episode, that it was a biblical re
