It’s such an exciting week for me as it’s RECORD RELEASE WEEK! Today you’ll hear more about the heart cry of this record, Be Held, Lullabies for the Beloved, releasing this Friday. You’ll hear about the scripture that has been imbedded into it, as well as hear the song, “In The Whisper”, which was the first full song that I wrote for this record seven months ago. The chorus says, “So let the thunder roll and I won’t be afraid ‘cause You roll the thunder and let the rain beat hard upon my roof and I’ll dance to it’s rhythm and let the mighty wind blow between the oak trees, as I let You steady me…cause You’re right here in the whisper, of my heart.” We’ll study life’s storms a little bit today, how even right in the middle of the most turbulent times of our lives we can invite the Master of the storm to say, “Peace! We might wander but He doesn’t let us wander for long before He sends us life-lines… I can’t even tell you how true Proverbs 16:9 has been these past few weeks, well, years actually... “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord directs their steps.” Even just this past week, we have had more plans unravel than I was prepared for! It took a lot of work sifting through the changes but In the end though, we ended up right where we needed to be. Like right now, I was supposed to be somewhere else even in this very moment and my plans unraveled to the degree that I’m now sitting on my front porch in a rocking chair enjoying the most gorgeous Fall weather I’ve seen this year. It’s just the best, unexpected surprise. I hope that today you’re reminded that your Father will do what it takes to lead you back to Himself. I’m sure He grins at our plans
