Jim Crow laws were state and local laws that enforced racial segregation in the Southern United States . All were enacted in the 19th and early 20th centuries by Dixiecrat aka ( Democrats Party). Jim Crow laws were upheld in segregation in all public facilities in the confederate states of America. He was captured that evening by klans man and killed. His Murdered was the catalyst that started the Civil Right Movements. This bill was solely made for Negro Americans who were born in United States. It was solely designed to protected them their civil rights and discrimination in the work place. I am not a movie critics however when you’re telling a story about a person real life experience. I strongly believe they should have pic an actor or actress from that experience. If it was me. I would have picked a Negro American women to play the lead role in this movie not African. Most of African didn’t go through perpetual slavery except Negro Americans. The movie lost its authenticity when u cast another person from a different culture and background. Cynthia Erivo ( Nigerian) actress shouldn’t be cast to be the lead role in this movie.
